Everybody likes freebies, and Target plans to capitalize on this general fascination. It has plans to delight the customers this Black Friday by offering 10% off on gift cards. Gift cards are much like store vouchers which necessitate the customers to make purchasers from the same store to avail discounts and offers.
The plan will be afoot at 6 PM on Thanksgiving Day at its physical stores, but interested people can make online-only deals throughout the day. Online buyers will also get free gift cards on a purchase of iPad Air 2 and a few other products. Certain items will have to be booked only on the net to get the discount gift card.
This innovation is supposed to raise its retail-store sales by 4% and online sales in the range of 8-11%. Target was in the eye of the storm last festive season for betraying the trust of millions of online customers whose private details got released. These people were subjected to a variation of mails; some acting as fake charities, some giving false shipping details and some informing about shady online contests. This affected last year’s Target sales considerably.
Customers are advised not to fall prey to the above-mentioned ploys. Meanwhile, Target also proposes to charm customers with exclusive deals on certain items at prices they won’t get anywhere else.
